Dear blog visitor, my name is Riny Sluys and we’d like you informed about what’s going on in our company. When i started the photo studio in 1994 my work was looked with argus eyes, jugded, and moreover denounced, this was not exactely what one was used to here in our region. What’s deviant, can’t be good. Over the years these opinions changed. Having won the Kodak Cold Award, other prizes and nominations at the bride and bridegroom contest one adopted another view towards my work and eventually i receive the admiration i was silently hoping for. My work didn’t only attract attention in this region, but even beyond the regional boundaries, all over the Nederlands and even abroad one knew about this photographer from Zierikzee.
Photo-reportages in Antwerp, Cenne Monnesties ( France ) and even in Moskow were realised. Shortly we’ll visit England for three days to produce some one hundred portraits. Sometimes developments are rather unpredictable. As we say in Holland, the ball can role pretty unpredictable. Enjoy yourselves regarding our blog and our site.

Geachte bezoeker van dit blog, Mijn naam is Riny Sluys en we willen u op deze manier op de hoogte houden van wat er zo allemaal speelt in ons bedrijf. Toen ik de foto-studio begon in 1994 werd mijn werk met argusogen bekeken, beoordeeld en vooral veroordeeld, dit was men niet gewend hier en wat anders is kan immers niet goed zijn, toch? Jaren later is dit wel veranderd, met het winnen van de Kodak Gold Award, prijzen en nominaties bij Bruid en Bruidegom kijkt men inmiddels wel iets anders naar mijn werk, uiteindelijk kreeg ik toch wel de waardering waar ik stiekem op gehoopt had. Maar niet alleen in de buurt vielen mijn foto’s op, in heel Nederland en zelfs daar buiten kende men ineens die fotograaf uit Zierikzee, foto reportages in Antwerpen, Cenne-Monnesties ( Frankrijk ) en zelfs Moskou werden gerealiseerd. Binnenkort gaan we voor drie dagen naar Engeland om daar zo,n honderd portretten te maken, het balletje kan raar rollen. Veel plezier bij het bekijken van de blog en onze site; Groeten Riny Sluys.
